The evident crisis in the current global system has motivated Los Miércoles Socialistas to design an alternative by making use of the politics and aesthetics of Utopia.


This show is born from months of meetings. Each week the artists furthered the excavation of a site for artistic activity in the political landscape. It was decided that the opportunistic character of the ìpolitical artistî could run wild in Utopia, free from consequence.

Los Miércoles Socialistas believe in the value of artistic labour as a social tool. However, this does not exempt the art of big pretensions and transformative intentions from healthy dose of playful irony. 


Los Miércoles Socialistas care little for the failure of grand projects. It is their belief that the practice of process will leave behind traces of value.
